I hope our community members that are users come out especially because as a none-user I really don’t know what is needed so don’t really feel I have any good input. I don’t know the real struggles. There will be no judgement to those that are users from me but I think they/you are the key to getting the community to a safer and healthier place. So PLEASE come out!

I’m so proud of my new start because not everyone is brave enough to attempt one due to negative mindset. My life have been a mess which make me think nothing can ever change my financial instability because I live on paycheck to paycheck it’s have been a great experience and a successful journey for me ever since I met Mr Gabriel, he brought me out of financial crisis with his experience and knowledge on trading/investment contact him below to explore greatness. 👉 Gabriel Dempsey

It's legal that's the biggest prob

This is awesome!!!!!! and LONG overdue, I truly commend Chief and Council for making this very first important step!!! It’s not going to be easy but it can be done, we just need to stay the course and focus on what’s right for our community. When you are the employer of over 90% of the employees in this community, you can develop policies and you can enforce them, don’t let fear or votes rule you!!!

As a person who has been affected by the drug problem on a personal level. My family is still going through the hardships of this I think it’s amazing to see this and hopes no other family has to go through what me and my kids have.

Will the RCMP be attending ? I fell like they should be invited . So they can hear all the concerns our community has.

There definitely needs to be something done. I myself applied for rehab through Conne and never did hear anything back. I did the application twice in 2023, but nothing. Im very thankful that I was able to get myself sober as many are not as lucky and end up being consumed with drug use. Its a very hard battle for everyone around. I wish that all of the people struggling can find the motivation and desire to live clean ❤️ There is hope, we just gotta stand together against addiction!

That’s the first step admitting there’s a problem . Good for you the chief and council to bring this to the forefront . Other communities should follow your lead and do the same thing . Very best of luck and hope people come out and help you with this very serious problem .

Can this be live streamed? I’d love to attend but will be away

Barry you are correct this was our taught process.

Great to hear. Pray those who need the help can get it. It is very sad to hear that such a Beautiful Community has to go through this. But it shows no matter how small or large a community is those problems exist. It is an issue people can deal with and kick. With willingness from the person who wants to give it up. This shows you are not alone with a community, family, friends you are able to win at those battles. Take Care.

Education is the most important part to understanding the "beast" that is addiction, and needs to be addressed. It's not a one fix one problem kind of approach. Addiction is an illness and it will require a community such as ours being on the same page to solve this issue. I wish I could be there as well, but I'll be away. It's going to take more than one meeting to come up with some sort of solid solution moving forward. I think addressing this problem is a great start. 💖 The snake must have its head cut off. Rehab cannot be forced, "Tough Love" is necessary, enabling destroys families and lives in the long run. This is something that cannot be pushed under a rug. Medical intervention will be needed, RCMP will be needed , standing together is imperative. I don't want anyone to die, this is what is at stake here if this issue continues unchecked. It's not a question about "if" but "when." This is very serious and very unfortunate ❤️‍🩹 None of this will be easy. There are ways out and it will take a lot of work, but it can be done, everyone is worth fighting for💖 We must educate and understand what we are up against. will all members of chief and council be in attendance?

Concerned parents and community members held a meeting years and years ago with mike joe at the time along with the rcmp, srgt nippard….not sure what happened following that one meeting. No follow up was given and as we can clearly see, the issues got bigger over time….need to develop a plan and implement the strategy for this to happen. Good start. thanks to everyone who is involved!

830 pm to 830 pm

Wow this is a great idea for the community however hope all responsibilities and contributions to the help needed isn't all put on Chief and Council, this is a need for all community members. Good on you all and best of luck it's a hard battle stay strong it can be beaten.

Hopefully there could be help for families raising children and young adults be taught to help stear their kids, step kids and grandchildren in the right path. A lot of it starts at home with their upbringing. Something at home, sometimes make people turn to drugs, alcohol and crime. Intervention early with parents and children is key also before its to late and they develop habits and we focus on one sole aspect and not the other things that lead to the problem. Parents and addicts need to take accountability for enabling and their actions. One person cannot be the sole reason for a families problems and addictions. Environments need to change in which children grow and prevention is key.
